Betty White celebrates her 100th birthday on January 17th by honoring her on the cover of People magazine.

In the cover story, due out the week of January 10, the prolific actress reveals her secret to living a long and fulfilling life.

“I try to avoid anything green,” she joked. “I think it works.”

White is not a fan of the healthy food trends in Hollywood. Instead, the “Golden Girls” star prefers to eat sausage and drink vodka with a splash of grapefruit.

She also enjoys a peanut butter, bolognese, and iceberg lettuce sandwich on white bread for lunch. According to her executive personal assistant of nearly a decade, Kiersten Mikelas, White’s mother used to make the snack for her when she was a child.

On a more serious note, White offered some advice for living a happy life: “Savor every moment.”

She definitely embraces the mantra, telling people that she’s “so lucky to be healthy and feel good at this age.”

Nowadays, White spends her time in Los Angeles completing crossword puzzles, playing card games, and watching animal documentaries, “Jeopardy!” and golf tournaments.

She also takes time to honor her late husband, Allen Lowden, every day.

Michaelas shared: “She keeps a picture of him on her bedside table and kisses him every morning.” “At night when she opens the shutters, she sends him a kiss in the sky. He is constantly on her mind.”

White and Ludden, her third husband, married in 1963. The two remained married until 1981 when Ludden died of stomach cancer at the age of 63.

Even though White hasn’t appeared on screen in a few years, there’s no doubt she still has her comedic charm and timing.

Mikellas told People that she recently spoke to Wyatt about the possibility of her reunion with her ex-boyfriend.

“Well, if he doesn’t want to be exclusive, do it,” said Betty, her assistant laughed. Then she paused, and looked at me and said, ‘But don’t spoil him. This is my home, bubbly, naughty and sweet, all at the same time.’

People also interviewed a few of Wyatt’s celebrity friends in honor of her centenary birthday.

Ryan Reynolds, who starred alongside Wyatt in 2009’s The Proposal, was also praised for her timeless comedic skills. “My house pivots I’ve never seen before, which makes them look smooth,” he said. “The rest of us just keep quiet and pray we don’t get out of the scene.”

Reynolds later joked that White is a “typical Capricorn” because she spends her days sleeping and her nights “drinking and snacking on men”.

Sandra Bullock, a cast member on The Proposal, praised White for being “a loving, respectful, optimistic, inclusive, and fun human being.”

She added, “With her sense of humor, kindness, and vodka on ice, she raves about the fact that she’s a badass that has left us all in the dust.”

Carol Burnett spoke about Wyatt’s beloved Hollywood fame and recalled working together on “The Carol Burnett Show”.

“Betty had this reputation before she got on ‘Mary Tyler Moore’ for being cute, and then she did on The Johnny Carson Show and she was totally killed,” Burnett explained. “She was so blunt and funny. She would come to my show, and if there was a hint of imperfect humor in one of our drawings, she’d roll with it and make it more playful and add a little wink to show she was thinking of something exciting. It’s not a pause. It’s not a clown. It’s the way that She can twist a line to make her laugh.”

For her birthday next month, White plans to celebrate with a small gathering, and she said, “I’m going to surround myself with as many animals as possible.”

Fans can also join in the celebration by attending a one-day theater performance of “Betty White: 100 Years Young,” distributed by Fathom Events.

Variety reports that the film will be shown in 900 cinemas across the country on her birthday, January 17. “100 Years Young” will provide a behind-the-scenes look at White’s life as well as a glimpse into her relationship with her staff and her work as an animal advocate.

The film also offers viewers an invitation to Wyatt’s birthday party alongside guests such as Reynolds, Burnett, Tina Fey, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Morgan Freeman, and Wyatt’s longtime crush Robert Redford.
