Court summons Civil Defense Corps over alleged unlawful sealing of security company

A federal high court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday ordered the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to appear before it over an alleged unlawful sealing of an Abuja based security company.

Justice Ahmed Ramat Muhammed issued the order while ruling on the exparte application brought before it by Alibro International Security Services Ltd.

While ruling on the application, Justice Mohammed ordered that the Civil Defense Corps appear before it on September 16 to show cause why the ex-parte order filed by the plaintiff should not be granted.

At the proceedings on Tuesday, counsel to the plaintiff, Mr Terkaa Aondo in a motion ex-parte prayed the court to compel the Civil Defense Corps to immediately unseal the plaintiff’s private security outfit located at Utako area in Abuja.

The plaintiff through the counsel requested for an order of mandatory injunction to restrain the defendants, their staff, agent, privies or anybody acting through their authority from further sealing, blocking or in any way restricting access to the plaintiff premises.

The Minister of Interior and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami were joined in the suit.
