The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared parallel Local Government Congresses conducted in some states as futile.
John Akpan Udoedehe, National Secretary of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) spoke on Monday.
Noting that the APC setup committees that conducted the nationwide exercise, the scribe described the congresses as successful.
He said the next step will be an appeal process that will allow anyone with issues to formally present their complaints.
Udoedehe recalled that the party informed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of the schedule of APC congresses.
“We wrote to INEC stating names of people to conduct the congresses and the venue. We also announced the time of the congress and informed security agencies.
“If you move away from the organization stipulated by INEC and set up something outside, it is no more APC”, he said.
