The Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP) aims to provide an opportunity for well-qualified students living in developed countries to undertake a postgraduate course at any participating academic institution in several Asian countries and the United States.

Upon completion of your programme, scholars will contribute to the economic and social development of their home countries. The programs covered by the ADB-JSP are postgraduate courses in economics, management, health, education, agriculture, environment, natural resource management, science and technology, and other development-related fields.

ADB-JSP grants full coverage of tuition fees, a monthly accommodation and housing allowance, an allowance for books and stationery, medical insurance, and travel expenses.

The scholarship is applicable for a period of one year where it can be extended to the second year of study if you maintain a satisfactory level of performance as determined by your university or institute. The maximum duration is only two years for master’s and doctoral programmes.

The Joint Japan-World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) is open to anyone from developing countries with relevant professional experience, a history of supporting their country’s development efforts, and to those applying for a master’s degree program in a development-related subject.

JJ/WBGSP offers scholarships to 26 associate programs at universities in the United States, Europe, Africa, Oceania and Japan in key areas of development, including economic policy management, tax policy, and infrastructure management.

The JJ/WBGSP scholarship covers tuition fees, a monthly living stipend, round-trip airfare, health insurance, and many other travel allowances.

The Aga Khan Foundation offers a limited number of scholarships each year to outstanding students from developing countries who lack the financial means for their education. Scholarships are awarded on a 50% scholarship basis on a 50% loan basis through an annual competitive application process. The Foundation will give priority to Masters level courses but will also consider applications for PhD programmes.

The Foundation covers tuition fees and living expenses only. Travel costs are not included in the Aga Khan Foundation grants. Funding is provided for PhD programs only for the first two years of study, after which students will need to find alternative sources of assistance.

Half of the scholarship amount taken into consideration As a loan it must be repaid at an annual interest rate of 5%. Students will need to repay the loan within five years, six months after your period of study has been funded by the institution.

It is intended for international students who return home to strengthen the under-resourced and underserved communities in their home country.

The AU EGL Scholarship covers all expenses such as full tuition fees and accommodation. The scholarship does not cover expenses such as health insurance, books, airline tickets, and miscellaneous expenses.

Renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study, depending on satisfactory academic performance.
